Group 4 Tools - Google

Wow...Google have come along from just being a search engine.  The applications of google in the classroom are amazing and varied with such applications as Google Earth, Google Maps and Google Docs.  The use of Google Earth  can be applied in classroom for different subjects and topics.  It allows students to view to any place on the earth, see imagery of cities, terrain and buildingsand the earth.   Google maps is a similar however, there is no need to download software to be able to use it.  A unique feature of Google maps is that you can create maps for the purpose of your particular lesson.  More information and ideas on how Google can support learning in the classrooms click here.  Google docs allows you to upload documents, spreadsheets and presentations and access them whenever and where ever you are in the world.  Any editing you do is all in real time and you can control who views your documents...do I need my USB anymore?

Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan...where I would rather be...relaxing in an onsen.
